Political leaders make their own job more difficult

Political leaders make their own job more difficult. By promising to fix issues that they have absolutely no control over, they inadvertently mislead the American people when they cant live up to those promises. But they are not completely at fault. The American public must educate itself about the limits of their leaders and our political system and stop making demands on the government that the government was never empowered to meet. In fact, we as citizens must learn to do for ourselves, and stop expecting the government to do what we, as Americans are capable of accomplishing with the help of one another other.
