Just because you're trying to change the world, it doesn't mean you can't have fun too.
I am the Founder and Chief Executive of Venture Fidelis and the founder of This One Generation. Being able to witness the creation and utilization of something that was conceived in your imagination is a great thrill. One that brings you back to your childhood days when life was about what you dreamed of. Now I am bringing my imagination to life with the greatest team of super-dreamers and big thinkers ever assembled.
I was born in Berkeley, CA in the early eighties. When I was ten my mother moved my two sisters, my younger brother and me to San Jose, CA., and that is where I “grew up.” My mother, also named Dorian, has been my greatest influence and inspiration, and is largely responsible for the man I am today.
I grew up in Silicon Valley, California, the birthplace of numerous highly entrepreneurial companies. Next, to see the world, and broaden my scope, I joined the US Marine Corps and served as an aviation technician working on multi-million dollar combat aircraft. Quickly rising to the rank of Sergeant, my leadership abilities were noted by my commanders and I was accepted to the prestigious Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) at Oregon State University to train to become a Marine Corps Commissioned Officer. Majoring in Political Science, three years into the four-year program a routine physical exam revealed a previously undiagnosed medical condition which forced me to retire from the Marines.
Today, I’m an inactive Marine living in Seattle, WA, with my beautiful bride Kari and our son Dorien II. My mother may be responsible for shaping who I have become, but making my bride and our son proud is what gets me out of bed in the morning in order to continue to achieve and do great things.
As an entrepreneur, I work tirelessly to uncover and capitalize on innovation in order to compete in and grow our nation’s economy. As a social/political servant, I work just as tirelessly with young leaders across the nation, to articulate and execute a new vision for our generation, our country, and our world.
Enough about me. Explore the site, read the blog and get involved.
